Canucks Sports & Entertainment's first foray into esports ownership started off with a bang by signing the entire RunAway roster. OverWatch historians consider them as of the greatest esports stories, especially considering the owners—a husband and wife duo—who managed and financed RunAway themselves with grassroots efforts and fan support. While there were certain storytelling elements to speak about the RunAway roster at the time, becoming the Vancouver Titans was considered a new chapter for the players to test their might in a new region, a new league, and a growing fanbase.

The Titans brand inherited their identity from specific Pacific Northwest motifs: Sasquatch, the rugged mountains, and the colour palette of blue, green and white. The overall brand was to reflect the strong ties to nature while also being very forward-minded in a digital-oriented ecosystem.
The joy of joining a start-up brand is by developing the creatives to further its potential and reach.
